Da Vinci's Pizza Restaurant in Cebu Philippines

It was a Sunday night and a spur of the moment thing when my family decided that we go out for a pizza.  The only pizza places I know close to our residence are MB’s Tavern, JCA Gourmet Pizza, and Da Vinci’s Pizza.

I was not “feeling it” to go to the first two pizza restaurants mentioned and I was kinda craving for some Da Vinci’s Pizza because it has been a while since I had one.  The much raved about Shawarma Pizza at Da Vinci’s was also worth investigating.

Filipino Restaurant in Cebu - Tsiboom by Jeffroger Kho 'Fedge' Photography

Parkmall in Mandaue Reclamation Area (beside Cebu International Convention Center) has been open for quite sometime now but I haven’t tried any of the new Cebu restaurants there.

I was with my mom that day and we were talking about dining in Manila Foodshoppe because we’ve heard so much about how big their servings are and how affordable their food was.  Unfortunately Manila Foodshoppe was full that night so we had to find another Filipino restaurant.

TsiBoom Native Restaurant on the other side of Parkmall was my next choice because it had a very inviting green color and the interiors were somewhat classy as well.  Here’s our experience at this Filipino restaurant in Parkmall Cebu.

Pizza Restaurant in Cebu Philippines - Handuraw Pizza

I have always loved Handuraw Pizza way back when it still had a branch adjacent to Kahayag Cafe in Mabolo, Cebu City.  Pakalista Jon and I happen to be in One Mango Avenue and just had to grab a Handuraw Pizza.

Big problem though -Jon is a VEGETARIAN and I’m a MEAT LOVER! What to do???!!

Filipino Restaurant in Cebu - Laguna Garden Cafe, Terraces Ayala Cebu

It was once again our annual Christmas and New Year get together with my fellow Chemical Engineers.  We decided to dine somewhere at the Terraces Ayala Cebu because some of them aren’t Cebu-based anymore and haven’t had a full look at the Terraces Ayala Cebu.

Deciding for a place to eat was again another long debate.  But good thing I narrowed it down for them according to what hasn’t been reviewed by the Pakalistas of DiningCebu.com.

A long series of distillation, fractionation, leaching, evaporation, and filtration processes were conducted before it was decided to dine at this Filipino restaurant in Cebu – Laguna Garden Cafe. Read More »

Imagine this. Friday Night, Gimik night.

You’ve prepared yourself for dinner at the newly opened Cebu restaurants in The Terraces Ayala Cebu. Suddenly things don’t go as planned, except for the part where your friends are fashionably late as usual.

People are hustling and bustling towards The Terraces Ayala Cebu but you find yourself in a cafe below the mall’s supermarket.

Depressing right?!

Da Vinci’s Pizza is a homegrown Cebu-based pizza parlor that reinvented the customary tomato-based pizzas and conquered Cebu one branch at a time.

What is the real deal?

Is it REALLY THAT DELICIOUS as most ISTORYANs are raving about?

It was my boss’ birthday; once again we were stuck on looking for a Cebu restaurant with the golden question being “asa man ta mangaon nga lami?” (“Where are we going to eat that’s delicious?”). I suggested that we eat at Tempura Japanese Grill because I loved it there, and it would be an Asian Experience for my officemates but not all of them are ready for some Japanese cuisine. Ayala Center Cebu launched last week its new expansion “The Terraces”. This resort-ambiance redevelopment boasts of a terraces layout overlooking a landscaped garden. New Cebu restaurants are opening, and this is something not to be missed by the Pakalistas. Berg chose the restaurant so it’s no surprise that we’re going Japanese again, but I’m not complaining. It was a luscious Western-Japanese experience!

It was a Sunday. I was with Jon and supposedly also with Berg for the Free Photography Workshop conducted by the Cebu Photographer’s Club in SM Cebu Conference Hall. After the workshop, we were off to have lunch.

Berg and I received an invitation from our friend for the Grand Opening of Kopi Roti in Cebu. We don’t know if she owned the place because she wouldn’t tell us when we asked her. I wasn’t so sure in attending either. My “vegan-ish” friend Jon sent me a message that he’ll be at Kopi Roti as early as 5:30 pm. I guess everyone from our group is going to Kopi Roti so I guess I have to go. Read More »
